Games
Couple games you can play tonight (no board required)
1. This or That
Rapid-fire choices, picked separately, revealed together. You'll be shocked how often you match, and delighted when you don't.
- Tea or coffee?
- Beach or mountains?
- Plan everything or go with the flow?
- Cook together or order in?
- Sunrise or sunset?
- Road trip or flight?
2. Who's More Likely?
Read a prompt and both point at who it describes. Agreeing is satisfying. Disagreeing starts the best conversations.
- Who's more likely to fall asleep during a movie?
- Who's more likely to plan a surprise?
- Who's more likely to say sorry first?
- Who's more likely to get hangry?
- Who's more likely to steal the blanket?
3. How well do you know me?
Each of you writes five questions about yourself (favourite childhood meal, dream job at age eight, most-played song this month) and the other guesses. Keep score if you're competitive; don't if you're not.
4. Two truths and a memory
Share three memories from before you met, where one is invented. Your partner guesses the fake. Surprisingly revealing.
5. The long-distance version
Every game above works over a call, or asynchronously: answer when you can, reveal when you've both played. Distance makes the reveal even better.
